Objective: To explore the effect of varying numbers of embryo washings prior to blastocyst formation in non-invasive preimplantation chromosome screening (NICS) on the accuracy of NICS results. Methods: In this study, 68 blastocysts from preimplantation genetic testing (PGT)-assisted pregnancy were collected at our institution. On the fourth day of embryo culture, the embryos were transferred to a new medium for blastocyst culture and were washed either three times (NICS1 group) or ten times (NICS2 group). A trophectoderm (TE) biopsy was performed on the blastocysts, and the corresponding embryo culture media were collected for whole genome amplification (WGA) and high-throughput sequencing. Results: The success rate of WGA was 100% (TE biopsy), 76.7% (NICS1 group), and 89.5% (NICS2 group). The success rate of WGA in embryo medium on days 5 and 6 of culture was 75.0% (33/44) and 100% (24/24), respectively. Using TE as the gold standard, the karyotype concordance rate between the results of the NICS1 and NICS2 groups' embryo culture medium samples and TE results was 43.5% (10/23) and 73.5% (25/34), respectively. The sensitivity and specificity of detecting chromosomal abnormalities were higher in the NICS2 group than in the NICS1 group when TE was used (83.3% vs 60.0%; 62.5% vs 30.8%, respectively). The false-positive rate and false-negative rate (i.e., misdiagnosis rate and missed diagnosis rate, respectively) were lower in the NICS2 group than in the NICS1 group (37.5% vs 69.2%; 16.7% vs 40.0%, respectively). Conclusion: The NICS yielded favorable results after ten washings of the embryos. These findings provide a novel method for lowering the amount of cell-free DNA contamination from non-embryonic sources in the medium used for embryo development, optimizing the sampling procedure and improving the accuracy of the NICS test.

INTRODUCTION: Epithelial barrier disruption is the initial cause of various diseases. We previously reported that acupoint catgut embedding (AE) improves tight junction proteins (TJs) in rats with allergic rhinitis. However, whether AE improves the epithelial barrier in local allergic rhinitis (LAR) remains unknown. METHODS: A total of 36 Sprague Dawley (SD) male rats aged 5-7 weeks were divided into 6 groups with 6 rats each: control group, LAR model group, false acupoint embedding + LAR group, acupoint embedding + LAR group, capsaicin + LAR group, and tunicamycin + acupoint embedding + LAR group. Behavioral observation, ELISA to detect inflammatory factors in nasal lavage fluid and serum IgE, nasal mucosal permeability test, hematoxylin-eosin staining, PCR to detect Substance P (SP), Western blot, and immunofluorescence to detect endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) index and TJs were used to investigate the mechanism of AE in LAR. RESULTS: AE improved the symptoms and pathological features of nasal mucosa of LAR rats, reduced the inflammatory factors (IL4, IL5, IL13) of nasal lavage fluid, and showed no significant change in serum IgE levels in all groups. In addition, AE decreased the expression of SP in nasal mucosa of LAR rats, inhibited ERS, increased the expression of tight junction protein, reduced the permeability of nasal mucosa, and improved the function of nasal mucosal barrier. CONCLUSION: This study confirms that AE can improve the nasal mucosal barrier function of LAR by reducing the expression of SP, inhibiting ERS and increasing the expression of TJs, thus enhancing the nasal mucosal barrier function.

This study aims to evaluate the effects of electromagnetic therapy (EMT) on the treatment of venous leg ulcers (VLUs) by synthesising and appraising available meta-analyses (MAs) and systematic reviews (SRs). A comprehensive literature search was conducted across major databases up to 10 January 2024, focusing on SRs/MAs that investigated the use of EMT for VLUs. Selection criteria followed the PICO framework, and dual-author extraction was used for accuracy. Quality assessment tools included AMSTAR2, ROBIS, PRISMA, and GRADE. The search yielded five eligible studies. The reviews collectively presented moderate methodological quality and a low risk of bias in several domains. Reporting quality was high, albeit with inconsistencies in fulfilling certain PRISMA checklist items. The evidence quality, primarily downgraded due to small sample sizes, was rated as moderate. Whilst some studies suggest potential benefits of EMT in the treatment of VLUs, the overall evidence is inconclusive due to methodological limitations and limited sample sizes. This review underscores the need for future research with more rigorous methodologies and larger cohorts to provide clearer insights into the efficacy of EMT for VLUs.

Although fengycin exhibits broad-spectrum antifungal properties, its application is hindered due to its low biosynthesis level and the co-existence of iturin A and surfactin in Bacillus amyloliquefaciens HM618, a probiotic strain. In this study, transcriptome analysis and gene editing were used to explore the potential mechanisms regulating fengycin production in B. amyloliquefaciens. The fengycin level of B. amyloliquefacien HM-3 (∆itu-ΔsrfAA) was 88.41 mg/L after simultaneously inhibiting the biosyntheses of iturin A and surfactin. The knockout of gene eps associated with biofilm formation significantly increased the fengycin level of the strain HM618, whereas the fengycin level decreased 32.05% after knocking out sinI, a regulator of biofilm formation. Transcriptome analysis revealed that the differentially expressed genes, involved in pathways of amino acid and fatty acid syntheses, were significantly down-regulated in the recombinant strains, which is likely associated with a decrease of fengycin production. The knockout of gene comQXPA and subsequent transcriptome analysis revealed that the ComQXPA quorum sensing system played a positive regulatory role in fengycin production. Through targeted genetic modifications and fermentation optimization, the fengycin production of the engineered strain HM-12 (∆itu-ΔsrfAA-ΔyvbJ) in a 5-L fermenter reached 1.172 g/L, a 12.26-fold increase compared to the fengycin level in the strain HM-3 (∆itu-ΔsrfAA) in the Erlenmeyer flask. Taken together, these results reveal the underlying metabolic mechanisms associated with fengycin synthesis and provide a potential strategy for improving fengycin production in B. amyloliquefaciens.

All eukaryotic cells can secrete extracellular vesicles, which have a double-membrane structure and are important players in the intercellular communication involved in a variety of important biological processes. Platelets form platelet-derived microparticles (PMPs) in response to activation, injury, or apoptosis. This review introduces the origin, pathway, and biological functions of PMPs and their importance in physiological and pathological processes. In addition, we review the potential applications of PMPs in cancer, vascular homeostasis, thrombosis, inflammation, neural regeneration, biomarkers, and drug carriers to achieve targeted drug delivery. In addition, we comprehensively report on the origin, biological functions, and applications of PMPs. The clinical transformation, high heterogeneity, future development direction, and limitations of the current research on PMPs are also discussed in depth. Evidence has revealed that PMPs play an important role in cell-cell communication, providing clues for the development of PMPs as carriers for relevant cell-targeted drugs. The development history and prospects of PMPs and their cargos are explored in this guidebook.

Trace elements are important for human health but may exert toxic or adverse effects. Mechanisms of uptake, distribution, metabolism, and excretion are partly under genetic control but have not yet been extensively mapped. Here we report a comprehensive multi-element genome-wide association study of 57 essential and non-essential trace elements. We perform genome-wide association meta-analyses of 14 trace elements in up to 6564 Scandinavian whole blood samples, and genome-wide association studies of 43 trace elements in up to 2819 samples measured only in the Trøndelag Health Study (HUNT). We identify 11 novel genetic loci associated with blood concentrations of arsenic, cadmium, manganese, selenium, and zinc in genome-wide association meta-analyses. In HUNT, several genome-wide significant loci are also indicated for other trace elements. Using two-sample Mendelian randomization, we find several indications of weak to moderate effects on health outcomes, the most precise being a weak harmful effect of increased zinc on prostate cancer. However, independent validation is needed. Our current understanding of trace element-associated genetic variants may help establish consequences of trace elements on human health.

Many ion channels are known to behave as an allosteric protein, coupling environmental stimuli captured by specialized sensing domains to the opening of a central pore. The classic Monod-Wyman-Changeux (MWC) model, originally proposed to describe binding of gas molecules to hemoglobin, has been widely used as a framework for analyzing ion channel gating. Here, we address the issue of how accurately the MWC model predicts activation of the capsaicin receptor TRPV1 by vanilloids. Taking advantage of a concatemeric design that makes it possible to lock TRPV1 in states with zero to four bound vanilloid molecules, we showed quantitatively that the overall gating behavior is satisfactorily predicted by the MWC model. There is, however, a small yet detectable subunit position effect: ligand binding to two kitty-corner subunits is 0.3-0.4 kcal/mol more effective in inducing opening than binding to two neighbor subunits. This difference-less than 10% of the overall energetic contribution from ligand binding-might be due to the restriction on subunit arrangement imposed by the planar membrane; if this is the case, then the position effect is not expected in hemoglobin, in which each subunit is related equivalently to all the other subunits.

ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE: Saiga antelope horn (SAH) is a traditional Chinese medicine for treating hypertension with liver-yang hyperactivity syndrome (Gan-Yang-Shang-Kang, GYSK), that has a long history of clinical application and precise efficacy, but its mechanism and functional substances are still unknown. Based on the demand for alternative research on the rare and endangered SAH, the group designed and carried out the following studies. AIM OF THE STUDY: The purpose of this research was to demonstrate the functional substances and mechanisms of SAH in the treatment of GYSK hypertension. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The GYSK-SHR model was constructed by administering a decoction of aconite to spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs). Blood pressure (BP), behavioural tests related to GYSK, and pathological changes in the kidneys, heart and aorta were measured to investigate the effects of SAH on GYSK-SHRs. Proteomic analysis was used to identify the keratins and peptides of SAH. Moreover, network pharmacology and plasma metabolomics studies were carried out to reveal the mechanisms by which functional peptides in SAH regulate GYSK-hypertension. RESULTS: SAH has a significant antihypertensive effect on GYSK hypertensive animals. It has also been proven to be effective in protecting the function and structural integrity of the kidneys, heart and aorta. Moreover, SAH improved the abnormalities of 31 plasma biomarkers in rats. By constructing a "biomarker-target-peptide" network, 10 functional peptides and two key targets were screened for antihypertensive effects of SAH. The results indicated that SAH may exert a therapeutic effect by re-establishing the imbalance of renin-angiotensin (RAS) system. CONCLUSIONS: Functional peptides from keratin contained in SAH are the main material basis for the treatment of GYSK-hypertension and exhibited the protective effect on the GYSK-SHR model through the RAS system.

OBJECTIVE: We aimed to examine the effects of a 5:2 regimens diet (2 days per week of energy restriction by formula diet) or an exercise (2 days per week of high-intensity interval training and resistance training) intervention compared with routine lifestyle education (control) on glycemic control and cardiometabolic health among adults with overweight/obesity and type 2 diabetes. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS: This two-center, open-label, three-arm, parallel-group, randomized controlled trial recruited 326 participants with overweight/obesity and type 2 diabetes and randomized them into 12 weeks of diet intervention (n = 109), exercise intervention (n = 108), or lifestyle education (control) (n = 109). The primary outcome was the change of glycemic control measured as glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) between the diet or exercise intervention groups and the control group after the 12-week intervention. RESULTS: The diet intervention significantly reduced HbA1c level (%) after the 12-week intervention (-0.72, 95% CI -0.95 to -0.48) compared with the control group (-0.37, 95% CI -0.60 to -0.15) (diet vs. control -0.34, 95% CI -0.58 to -0.11, P = 0.007). The reduction in HbA1c level in the exercise intervention group (-0.46, 95% CI -0.70 to -0.23) did not significantly differ from the control group (exercise vs. control -0.09, 95% CI -0.32 to 0.15, P = 0.47). The exercise intervention group was superior in maintaining lean body mass. Both diet and exercise interventions induced improvements in adiposity and hepatic steatosis. CONCLUSIONS: These findings suggest that the medically supervised 5:2 energy-restricted diet could provide an alternative strategy for improving glycemic control and that the exercise regimen could improve body composition, although it inadequately improved glycemic control.

Pt-based intermetallic compounds (IMCs) are considered as a class of promising fuel cell electrocatalysts, owing to their outstanding intrinsic activity and durability. However, the synthesis of uniformly dispersed IMCs with small sizes presents a formidable challenge during the essential high-temperature annealing process. Herein, a facile and generally applicable VOx matrix confinement strategy is demonstrated for the controllable synthesis of ordered L10-PtM (M = Fe, Co, and Mn) nanoparticles, which not only enhances the dispersion of intermetallic nanocrystals, even at high loading (40 wt%), but also simplifies the oxide removal and acid-washing procedures. Taking intermetallic PtCo as an example, the as-prepared catalyst displays a high-performance oxygen reduction activity (mass activity of 1.52 A mgPt -1) and excellent stability in the membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) (the ECSA has just 7% decay after durability test). This strategy provides an economical and scalable route for the controlled synthesis of Pt-based intermetallic catalysts, which can pave a way for the commercialization of fuel cell technologies.

INTRODUCTION: Class II malocclusion with mandibular retrognathia is a common complication of paediatric obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), often accompanied by transverse maxillary deficiency. In early orthodontic treatment, a twin block (TB) is a regular functional appliance for correcting this malocclusion. For paediatric OSA, the most common risk factor is adenotonsillar hypertrophy (AHT). Untreated AHT may lead to the persistence and worsening of obstructive sleep-disordered breathing traits, including habitual mouth breathing. Additionally, the clockwise mandibular rotation associated with AHT-induced pharyngeal crowding can undermine the effectiveness and stability of TB treatment. Adenotonsillectomy (T&A) is currently the first-line treatment for paediatric OSA. This proposed trial will investigate the impact of T&A surgery timing on the efficacy and stability of TB functional treatment in children with class II mandibular retrognathia and ATH. METHODS AND ANALYSIS: This will be a single-centre, parallel-group, superiority randomised controlled trial with participants randomised to intervention (T&A followed by TB treatment) or control arms (TB treatment followed by T&A) in a 1:1 ratio. A total of 40 patients aged 8-14 years, diagnosed with class II mandibular retrognathia and co-existing ATH-induced OSA, and indicated for both T&A surgery and TB treatment, will be recruited at the School and Hospital of Stomatology, Wuhan University. The primary outcomes will be the changes in the apnoea-hypopnoea index and the point A-nasion-point B angle from baseline to postorthodontic treatment between the two groups. Secondary outcomes will include other dental, skeletal, upper airway and soft tissue changes, as well as subjective sleep-related and oral-related quality of life. Outcome changes within each group and between groups will be analysed. ETHICS AND DISSEMINATION: This study is approved by the Ethics Committee of the School and Hospital of Stomatology, Wuhan University (no. 2022-D07). The research findings will be faithfully disseminated through scientific conferences or published articles. TRIAL REGISTRATION NUMBER: ChiCTR2200061703 (https://www.chictr.org.cn).

Many data resources generate, process, store, or provide kidney related molecular, pathological, and clinical data. Reference ontologies offer an opportunity to support knowledge and data integration. The Kidney Precision Medicine Project (KPMP) team contributed to the representation and addition of 329 kidney phenotype terms to the Human Phenotype Ontology (HPO), and identified many subcategories of acute kidney injury (AKI) or chronic kidney disease (CKD). The Kidney Tissue Atlas Ontology (KTAO) imports and integrates kidney-related terms from existing ontologies (e.g., HPO, CL, and Uberon) and represents 259 kidney-related biomarkers. We also developed a precision medicine metadata ontology (PMMO) to integrate 50 variables from KPMP and CZ CellxGene data resources and applied PMMO for integrative kidney data analysis. The gene expression profiles of kidney gene biomarkers were specifically analyzed under healthy control or AKI/CKD disease statuses. This work demonstrates how ontology-based approaches support multi-domain data and knowledge integration in precision medicine.

Background: In Chinese medicine, the mental focus and emotional stability of acupuncturists are key to optimal clinical outcomes. Many renowned acupuncturists utilize Traditional Chinese Qigong practices to enhance their concentration and emotional regulation abilities. Nevertheless, the existing literature lacks comprehensive evidence addressing this matter. Methods: This study will enroll 99 acupuncturists and randomly allocate them to one of three groups: Baduanjin, aerobic exercise, or a waiting-list control. The Baduanjin group will undertake 24 weeks of training, with three one-hour sessions weekly. The aerobic group will engage in brisk walking for the same duration and frequency. The control group will not receive any specific training. Assessments of emotion regulation, attention, cognitive functions, finger sensation, and athletic ability will be conducted at baseline (-1 week), mid-intervention (12 weeks), and post-intervention (24 weeks). Additionally, 20 participants from each group will undergo fMRI scans before and after the intervention to explore brain functional and structural changes relating to emotion, attention, cognition, motor skills, and sensory perception. Discussion: This study aims to contribute valuable insights into the effectiveness of Qigong practice, specifically Baduanjin, in enhancing emotional regulation, attention, and cognitive functions in acupuncturists and to investigate the neuroimaging mechanisms behind these effects. Ethics and dissemination: Approved by the Sichuan Regional Ethics Review Committee on Traditional Chinese Medicine (No. 2023KL - 118) and adhering to the Declaration of Helsinki. Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a common disease of the digestive system, and an excessive immune response mediated by the nuclear factor κ-B (NF-κB) signaling pathway is an essential etiology. Recent studies have found that bovine milk exosomes can improve intestinal mucosal health by delivering microRNA (miRNA), but the mechanism of action is so far unknown. In the present study, we analyzed the differential expression profiles of miRNA in colostrum and mature milk exosomes using high-throughput sequencing, based on the demonstration that colostrum exosomes inhibit the lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced intestinal epithelial NF-κB inflammatory pathway better than mature milk exosomes. The bta-miR-30a-5p, which is specifically highly expressed in colostrum, was screened, and its predicted target gene TRAM was found to be closely related to the NF-κB signaling pathway by functional enrichment analysis. Further, we used gene overexpression and silencing techniques and found that the bta-miR-30a-5p transfection treatment was confirmed to inhibit LPS-induced NF-κB signaling pathway activation and downstream pro-inflammatory factor expression, while the expression of its potential target gene, TRAM, was also suppressed. It is hypothesized that the high expression of bta-miR-30a-5p in colostrum, which targets TRAM to inhibit the downstream NF-κB inflammatory pathway, may be one of the molecular mechanisms responsible for its superior effect on resisting inflammatory attack compared to mature milk.

Studies indicated that two-dimensional (2D) metal halide perovskites (MHPs) embodied with three-dimensional (3D) MHPs were a facile way to realize efficient and stable perovskite solar cells (PSCs) and perovskite photodetectors (PPDs). Here, high-performance PSCs and PPDs, which are based on 2D/3D MHPs bilayer thin films, where the 2D MHPs are created by binary conjugated organic cations, are reported. Systemically studies reveal that the above novel 2D/3D MHPs bilayer thin films possess an enlarged crystal size, balanced charge transport, reduced charge carrier recombination, smaller charge-transfer resistance, and accelerated charge-extraction process compared to the 2D/3D MHPs bilayer thin films, where the 2D MHPs are created by a single conjugated organic cation. As a result, the PSCs based on the above novel 2D/3D MHPs bilayer thin film exhibit a power conversion efficiency of 22.76%. Moreover, unencapsulated PSCs possess dramatically enhanced stability compared with those based on the 2D/3D MHPs bilayer thin films, where the 2D MHPs are created by a single conjugated organic cation. In addition, the PPDs based on the above novel 2D/3D MHPs bilayer thin film exhibit a projected detectivity of 1016 cm Hz1/2/W and a linear dynamic range of 108 dB at room temperature. Our studies indicate that the development of binary conjugated organic cation-based 2D MHPs incorporated with 3D MHPs is a simple method to realize high-performance PSCs and PPDs.

Chromatin remodeling is a critical step in the DNA damage response, and the ATP-dependent chromatin remodelers are a group of epigenetic regulators that alter nucleosome assembly and regulate transcription factor accessibility to DNA, preventing genomic instability and tumorigenesis caused by DNA damage. The SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex is one of them, and mutations in the gene encoding the SWI/SNF subunit are frequently found in digestive tumors. We review the most recent literature on the role of SWI/SNF complexes in digestive tumorigenesis, with different SWI/SNF subunits playing different roles. They regulate the biological behavior of tumor cells, participate in multiple signaling pathways, interact with multiple genes, and have some correlation with the prognosis of patients. Their carcinogenic properties may help discover new therapeutic targets. Understanding the mutations and defects of SWI/SNF complexes, as well as the underlying functional mechanisms, may lead to new strategies for treating the digestive system by targeting relevant genes or modulating the tumor microenvironment.

Carbon (C), nitrogen (N), and phosphorus (P) stoichiometry serve as valuable indices for plant nutrient utilization and biogeochemical cycling within ecosystems. However, the allocation of these nutrients among different plant organs and the underlying drivers in dynamic riparian ecosystems remain inadequately understood. In this study, we gathered plant samples from diverse life forms (annuals and perennials) and organs (leaves, stems, and roots) in the riparian zone of the Three Gorges Reservoir Region (TGRR) in China-a novel ecosystem subject to winter flooding. We used random forest analysis and structural equation modeling to find out how flooding, life forms, plant communities, and soil variables affect organs C, N, and P levels. Results showed that the mean concentrations of plant C, N, and P in the riparian zone of the TGRR were 386.65, 19.31, and 5.27 mg/g for leaves respectively, 404.02, 11.23, and 4.81 mg/g for stems respectively, and 388.22, 9.32, and 3.27 mg/g for roots respectively. The C:N, C:P and N:P ratios were 16.15, 191.7 and 5.56 for leaves respectively; 26.98, 273.72 and 4.6 for stems respectively; and 16.63, 223.06 and 4.77 for roots respectively. Riparian plants exhibited nitrogen limitation, with weak carbon sequestration, low nutrient utilization efficiency, and a high capacity for nutrient uptake. Plant C:N:P stoichiometry was significantly different across life forms and organs, with higher N and P concentrations in leaves than stems and roots, and higher in annuals than perennials. While flooding stress triggered distinct responses in the C, N, and P concentrations among annual and perennial plants, they maintained similar stoichiometric ratios along flooding gradients. Furthermore, our investigation identified soil properties and life forms as more influential factors than plant communities in shaping variations in C:N:P stoichiometry in organs. Flooding indirectly impacts plant C:N:P stoichiometry primarily through alterations in plant community composition and soil factors. This study underscores the potential for hydrologic changes to influence plant community composition and soil nutrient dynamics, and further alter plant ecological strategies and biogeochemical cycling in riparian ecosystems.

This study aims to investigate the potential regulatory network responsible for the meat quality using multi-omics to help developing better varieties. Slaughter performance and meat quality of Shuxing No.1 rabbit outperformed IRA rabbit according to the tested rabbit parameters. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and differentially abundance proteins (DAPs) were involved in meat quality-related pathways, such as PI3K - Akt and MAPK signaling pathway. Only SMTNL1 and PM20D2 shared between DEGs and DAPs. Olfactory-sensitive undecanal, a differentially abundant metabolite (DAM) in volatilomics (vDAMs), correlated with all of the remaining 11 vDAMs, and most of 12 vDAMs were associated with amino acid metabolism. Integration revealed that 829 DEGs/DAPs were associated with 15 DAMs in four KEGG pathways, such as melatonin (a DAM in widely targeted metabolomics) was significantly positively correlated with ALDH and negatively correlated with RAB3D and CAT in tryptophan metabolism pathway. This study sheds light on the potential mechanisms that contribute to the improved meat quality and flavor. SIGNIFICANCE: Shuxing No.1 rabbit is a new breed of meat rabbit in the Chinese market. In meat marketing, meat quality usually determines the purchase intention of consumers. Determining the biological and molecular mechanisms of meat quality in meat rabbit is essential for developing strategies to improve meat quality. According to the tested rabbit parameters, this study ascertained that the slaughter performance and meat quality of Shuxing No.1 rabbit surpasses that of IRA rabbit. The present study profiled the transcriptome, proteome, widely targeted metabolome, and volatilome of longissimus dorsi from Shuxing No.1 rabbit and IRA rabbit. The study found that meat quality and flavor-related tryptophan metabolism pathway is enriched with many DEGs/DAPs (including ALDH, RAB3D, and CAT), as well as a DAM, melatonin. This study sheds light on the potential mechanisms that contribute to the improved meat quality and flavor.

There are the differences in the location of some acupoints between textbooks Meridians and Acupoints and Acupuncture and Moxibustion. Both of the textbooks are in the category of the "14th Five-Year Plan". The differences in acupoint location have brought some confusion for students, full-time teachers and researchers in the field of traditional Chinese medicine. In the paper, based on GB/T 12346-2021: Nomenclature and Location of Meridian Points, published in2021, and in reference with GB/T 12346-2006: Nomenclature and Location of Acupuncture Points, published in 2006, the discrepancy in the acupoint location was systematically collated in the aspects of the expression style and layout, text expression and potential difference of location between these two textbooks, published by China Press of Traditional Chinese Medicine, People's Medical Publishing House and China Science Publishing. Based on the historical evolution and the academic controversy of acupoint positioning, the reasons of the differences in acupoint location were analyzed, the potential influences on the teaching, examination, competition and research of Chinese medicine acupuncture were explored, and the suggestions for solution were proposed.
